Dennis Smith joined Secret Affair about the end of 1978, after Ian and Dave saw him playing in a band called "Advertising"

This band had a couple of singles released on EMI.He learned to play guitar when he was about 13 years old and still retains

his cheeky grin and schoolboy charm to this day.

Dennis left during the Us tours and right at the Scala
